Athan Ambar - The Olympics

Robert was not pleased that he and his horse were one of the first teams to go. He sat motionless upon the stallion's back, eyes raking over the course quietly.

As his fingers slid atop the brute's braided mane, Athan Ambar reared, loud shriek exploding from his quivering body. His groom jumped back, letting go of the reins to give the Trakehner his head. It was obvious that he was feeling good.

"I can take it from here," he called to the poor soul as they were called forward. Heels pressed into the bay's sides and they entered the ring.

Each step was slow and measured, Athan Ambar's neck arched into a perfect bend. He was, after all, a former Eventer. Dressage was in his system. After a few collected steps, the pair sprung into a canter, approaching the first set of jumps.

One, two, three strides and the stallion launched himself over the first obstacle...
